Calling all local cooks
To mark the 180th anniversary of the Market Building, a carnival atmosphere will fill Covent Garden over the weekend of 18th–20th June. The area will be adorned with balloons and bunting and there’ll be musical entertainment, childrens workshops and a giant birthday cake.
As part of the celebrations, The Covent Garden Real Food Market will be extended and will run from Friday 18th – Sunday 20th June. Covent Garden London is inviting each local tenant association to run their own stall to sell such things as cakes, biscuits, breads, jams, chutneys, table wear and pottery.
There is no charge for a stall, and each tenant association can keep the proceeds from their stall. Trestle tables, a giant umbrella and a branding board will be provided.
