Indigo restaurant is dishing up a superb meal for the Diamond Jubilee. Head chef Paul Shearing has chosen to focus on the queen’s favourites – lamb and seafood – to create an outstanding celebratory menu. Take your pick from Cumbrian lamb, Scottish lobster and English berries.
The three courses comprise: ravioli of lobster and Loch Duart salmon with sea
vegetables and Mussel velouté (£13.50); cannon of spring lamb with
sweetbreads, broad beans, peas and asparagus with anchovy and parmesan
doughnuts (£23.50); and the Jubilee Queen of Puddings 2012 – a citrus
bread slice with raspberry and blackberry jam, elderflower jelly,
raspberry mousse and grilled meringue (£9.50). You can choose to dine à
la
carte, or enjoy the full three courses for £42.
It’s not just the food that’s fantastic at Indigo. Diners can sink into comfortable armchairs, and enjoy the buzzy atmosphere, thanks to the restaurant’s location on a mezzanine overlooking One Aldwych’s popular lobby bar.
And if you don’t want the evening of luxury to end with your meal, book a room at One Aldwych and you can simply saunter upstairs after dessert. Special Diamond Jubilee room rates are being offered from £235*.
The Diamond Jubilee Menu is available from 15th May to 15th June, lunch
Monday
to Friday and dinner seven days a week. The menu will not be available for
brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
*Price is from £235 plus VAT per room per night
throughout the Diamond Jubilee weekend,
1st to 4th of June 2012 inclusive.
