Countdown to Christmas
Come down to the South Hall in Covent Garden at 4 pm every day until Christmas to witness a special guest opening a door of our giant LEGO advent calendar. As you’ll see from the film above, there’s a 3D LEGO Christmas surprise behind every door – look out for the Christmas cake, the elf in Santa’s workshop, a reindeer and a Christmas tree.
Make sure you also see all our Christmas lights, giant baubles and topiary reindeer plus the 65-foot Christmas tree shimmering with 50,000 red baubles. The Market Building has been transformed into a festive wonderland with oversized decorations including candy canes and mirrorballs. More than 150,000 pea lights sparkle above the heads of shoppers, creating a dazzling illumination that starts in the Piazza and fans out along Russell, James, King and Henrietta Streets.
Adding a festive soundtrack, the London Gay Men’s Choir are singing some traditional – and not so traditional – holiday tunes every Saturday until Christmas plus there’s reindeer petting in the East Piazza and the Christmas food market every Thursday.
