Covent Garden’s vintage tea party
Ah, the 1920s – a time of art deco and jazz, when men were men, women were women and lindy hopping parties were the raves of their day. Take a trip back in time to this golden age on Thursday 25th June as Covent Garden launches its vintage ‘Tea Party On The Piazza’ from 5-7pm, as part of the successful Real Food Market.
Picture the scene: a white picket fence, a traditional tea dance in full swing (which you are most welcome to join), a gypsy tea-leaf reader telling fortunes, freshly brewed tea and cream cakes served on classic crockery and refreshing Prosecco cocktails for those who fancy early evening bubble. Throw in all manner of retro regalia and you have the recipe for a perfect party on the historic Piazza.
Time: 5.00pm –7.00pm
Location: East Piazza
The vintage tea dance will take place from 6:30pm –7.00pm
Cost: £5 for tea and cakes or £8 for Prosecco cocktails and cakes.
Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis from 4.00pm
