Hark, the Covent Garden angels sing
Picture it; you’re standing in the historic heart of London’s Covent Garden sipping mulled wine on a crisp winter’s day, the night is drawing in and the area’s Christmas lights twinkle and wink with merry abandon. Everything feels right and proper with the world. Then, with a swelling of sound that would melt the hardest of hearts, a talented choir strike up, serenading the Piazza with the sort of traditional festive songs that instantly provide a Proustian rush of nostalgia. Dwell awhile and you will hear a more eclectic selection, taking in everything from contemporary ballads to well-loved show tunes. Enjoy.
Choirs will sing on the Piazza on Monday 9th November and then every Thursday from Thursday 19th November until Thursday 17th December.
