Seija Knight
It’s fair to say that Seija is no stranger to a big crowd. In 2007 she was selected to sing the English and Russian loNational Anthems to a crowd of 86,000 at Wembley Stadium for the England/Russia Euro 2008 qualifying match. She’s also appeared at St Martin in Fields, Wigmore Hall, The Barbican and The Linbury Theatre at the Royal Opera House. Those lucky enough to catch this talented, flexible soprano in action can enjoy a repertoire that includes Brahms’ Requiem, Bach’s St John’s Passion, Britten’s Les Illuminations, Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915, Maria (Westside Story), Papagena (The Magic Flute) and Page (Rigoletto). Covent Garden visitors can catch her most days in the South Courtyard of the Market Building.
