‘Beautiful Stu’ Goldsmith
Covent Garden Piazza
Stuart Goldsmith started street-performing at the age of 16, and went on to become Scottish National Busking Champion with his double-act The Unknown Stuntmen. This year his solo show – with its inspired finale that involves walking a rope held tug-o-war-style by 10 volunteers, whilst eating a packet of crisps – saw him awarded a bronze medal at the Street Performing World Championships.
As well as performing at Covent Garden, Stuart is also a sought-after stand-up comedian (Hackney Empire New Act Of The Year – Runner-up 2005) with a string of professional credits including regular host of the Ben & Jerry’s “Sundae On The Common” Festival, and warm-up artist for Deal Or No Deal and Loose Women.
