What do The Feeling, The Guillemots and VV Brown all have in common?
Apart from all being charitable saints, they have all been part of the super secret, super amazing, Super Busking at Covent Garden this Christmas. Over the past 2 weeks we have welcomed acts from all walks of life and all genres of music to busk in Covent Garden. The Saturdays kicked-off proceedings and knocked the tinsel off every Christmas tree in London – watch their Super Busking performance. Jonathan Ansell who made his name with X Factor band G4, now a solo artist, shocked the audience when he revealed that years ago he used to busk in Covent Garden to help pay his rent.
Amongst the Super Busking artists were many new and emerging stars; Nick Harrison, Imelda May, Bryn Christopher, The King Blues, Victoria Hart and VV Brown. These artists are tipped to be plastered all over your i-pod in 2009. You heard it here first.
We’d like to thank all the artists that performed as part of the Super Busking performances as together with them we have raised a large (and still growing) amount of money for Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people. Crisis is concentrating on opening nine shelters across London to help homeless people over the festive period.
