Tthe Real Food Market is held from Thursday to Saturday on the East Piazza. Expect irresistible smells wafting through the air and a relaxed atmosphere as you sample some of the goods on offer.
A real treat this year is the food bloggers who will be making special guest appearances manning their own stands throughout December. Niamh Shields of Eat Like A Girl appears on 10, 15, 16 and 22 December. Her musings on food and travel and her inspiring recipes have seen her featured in top-blog lists in the Times, Telegraph and Stylist.
Baker and jam-maker extraordinaire Rebecca Litchfield will star on 9 December, bringing the wit of her At Number 98 blog to the market. And just as the Christmas spirit is in full swing, prolific food and wine critic Chris Dreyfus of Silver & Claret will be on hand from 22-24 December to share his foodie experiences.
The award-winning Real Food Market is at the centre of Covent Garden’s famous Christmas attractions. Marvel at the giant Christmas baubles, mirror balls and festoon lighting in the Market Building, pose for photos next to the super-sized reindeer – or pet a real one – and listen to some of the capital’s best carol singers perform.
