Japanese electronics giant Casio has just opened a new flagship watch store in Covent Garden’s historic Market Building.

Interiors come courtesy of designers HarrimanSteel who cut their teeth on fit-outs for London Fashion Week and Nike Sportswear. They’ve installed glowing shelves, concrete display cases and embedded iPads. There’s even a timeline charting Casio’s evolution from the launch of the Casiotron watch in 1974 to its ground-breaking credit-card-sized digital cameras in the Noughties.

But the main attraction is Casio’s dazzling array of near-indestructible G-shock watches. Pick out a chunky, sporty classic model in black or slate grey, or opt for a more funky version in a range of eye-catching colours. There’s a Baby-G watch collection for the girls and the store also stocks Exilim cameras and the synthesizer keyboards that have long been synonymous with the Casio brand.
