Don’t miss the Rugby Ralph Lauren Tweed Run
The Rugby Ralph Lauren Tweed Run is coming to Covent Garden on Saturday 26th November at 11 am and the streets of WC2 will be awash with vintage style as 400 dapper chaps and ladies take to their bicycles for the all-day event.
The 12-mile ride is not a race, but a gentle two-wheeled amble through the city. Cyclists will sign in from 10am at the Rugby Ralph Lauren store on King Street before the 11am start. The riders will then cross the West Piazza and continue their leisurely jaunt towards Royal Avenue, Chelsea, where high tea will be served as a halfway refreshment stop. The finishing point will be the Caledonian Club near Hyde Park Corner as an exclusive party gets going from 4-7pm.
As tweed is the name of the game, everyone will certainly be dressing to impress. Previous years have seen some dashing cycling suits and jaunty flat caps – this year expect splashes of herringbone, tweed capes and some fantastic facial hair. Prizes will be awarded for Most Dapper Chap and Most Dashing Dame, amongst others.
