Ted Baker opened its first London store in Covent Garden in 1990. The store was originally launched as a shirt specialist in Glasgow.
The brand has since progressed and is now one of the fastest leading lifestyle brands in the UK. The approach to marketing the brand is primarily by word of mouth and out of the ordinary marketing. Ted remains one of the only brands to be built into the international designer label without an advertising campaign.
Covent Garden houses two Ted Baker stores: one on Floral Street and one on Langley Street. Floral Street is dedicated to both menswear and womenswear, Langley Street focuses mainly on womenswear. The designs are sharp and cutting edge and reflect the positioning of Covent Garden as a quality retail destination.
